Male, 2cy, May. Whole bib bright and sharply demarcated blue, including throat. Black breast band and rufous in central spot and breast varible. [1ET82387]

Female, 2cy, May. Most young female lack any blue or rufous. [1ET82340}

Female, 2cy, May. A few young females are more bright, showing some blue on lower throat and sides of throat, and occasionally some rufous on upper breast. [1EZ23047]
